Η Ειδίκευση Γλωσσολογίας του Τμήματος Ελληνικής Φιλολογίας διοργανώνει για δεύτερη χρονιά, κατά το ακαδημαϊκό έτος 2021-2022, επιστημονικό colloquium, το οποίο φιλοδοξεί να αναδείξει πτυχές της μελέτης της γλώσσας αποτελώντας ένα δημιουργικό πλαίσιο για ανταλλαγή γόνιμων επιστημονικών απόψεων. Το colloquium διεξάγεται μία φορά το μήνα (ημέρα Τρίτη και ώρα 18.30-20.00) στις ημερομηνίες που συμπεριλαμβάνονται στο συνημμένο Πρόγραμμα. [Event] 19/11/21 – INTRODUCING THE WRITTEN BNC2014 – Lancaster University

The British National Corpus 2014 (BNC2014) is a major project led by Lancaster University. We created a 100-million-word corpus (a large collection of ‘real life’ language) of present-day British English. This corpus can be used by researchers to understand more about how language works and how it is evolving. Educators, dictionary compilers and the interested public will also be able to access the corpus to find usage examples of modern British English in different genres.
