[JOB] Postdoc in Computational Linguistics, University of Potsam

A postdoc position is available (subject to the final administrative decision by the university) in the Discourse Research Lab / Applied Computational Linguistics Group in the FSP Cognitive Sciences, University of Potsdam (Germany).

This position involves teaching 4 hours per week (= 2 seminars) and contributing to the research goals of the Lab, which is headed by Prof. Manfred Stede (http://angcl.ling.uni-potsdam.de/). The topics of most current interest are argumentation mining and discourse parsing. Applicants with background in (one of) these areas will be preferred.

At this point, the position is available for one year, starting October 1st, 2016. Payment is according to the German TVL E13 payscale.

The University of Potsdam offers a BSc programme in Computational Linguistics, and an MSc programme in Cognitive Systems (taught jointly between the Linguistics and Computer Science departments). Cognitive Science is one of the four designated central research areas of the university.  Potsdam is situated next to Berlin, which also offers a vibrant research scene in Computational Linguistics / Cognitive Science.
