INTERSPEECH is the world’s largest and most comprehensive conference on challenges surrounding the science and technology of Spoken Language Processing (SLP) both in humans and in machines.
It is our great pleasure to announce that the Italian SLP community will host INTERSPEECH 2011 under the sponsorship of the International Speech Communication Association (ISCA).
INTERSPEECH 2011 will be the 12th conference in the annual series of INTERSPEECH events. It will be held in Florence, Italy, 27-31 August 2011, with the support of ISCA, AISV (ISCA Italian Regional SIG), CNR (National Research Council), and UniFI (University of Florence).
The theme of INTERSPEECH 2011 will be: “Speech science and technology for real life” and under this theme the conference will emphasize an interdisciplinary approach covering all aspects of speech science and technology spanning the basic theories to applications. Besides regular oral and poster sessions, plenary talks by internationally renowned experts, tutorials, exhibits, and special sessions are planned. INTERSPEECH Proceedings have been indexed in ISI web of science, Engineering Index and Scopus.
The venue of Interspeech 2011 will be the “Firenze Fiera Congress and Exhibition Center”.
